Isaiah 58 is such an incredible invitation — to allow God to share His heart with us! Can you believe that the God of the universe would rend His heart to us?? What a grand and glorious privilege. I can hardly think of a higher calling!

But, there’s more!! For those who say “yes” to this calling of carrying His heart, He offers some incredible promises!!  Check it out:

    the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
10 if you pour yourself out for the hungry
    and satisfy the desire of the afflicted,
then shall your light rise in the darkness
    and your gloom be as the noonday.
11 And the Lord will guide you continually
    and satisfy your desire in scorched places
    and make your bones strong;
and you shall be like a watered garden,
    like a spring of water,
    whose waters do not fail.
12 And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
    you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
you shall be called the repairer of the breach,
    the restorer of streets to dwell in.

Wow! Did you notice that these are all things that we CANNOT do? Only God can! I don’t know about you, but if this is what God will release when we fast with His heart… I CHOOSE THAT FAST!! How about you?

For those who’ve found grace to enter into this fast– be encouraged! It’s worth it. I know that God does not lie and He will do what He has promised. I’m so excited to see how He breaks through and breaks forth in us, through us and around us as a result of this holy season.
